I prefer to teach kindergarten or first grade. I envision my classroom to be filled with the alphabet, numbers 1-100, sight words, colors, and as well with familiar animals. This website is very informational for anyone that wants to be an educator. It provides you with flashcards, so that you can learn all needed vocabulary. Most importantly there are practice test you can take.
Kindergarten is such a difficult age group to teach in my opinion. There is SO much more to it than just number, letters, and colors. They are beginning to read at that point and even learning to add, subtract, an multiply.
Kindergarten is a difficult age group. They have a very short attention span and at that age they are learning more than just numbers and colors. My niece is in kindergarten and she knows how to read books that I would not expect her to read. Kindergarten children are more advanced than you think.
Thanks for the advice ladies but I truly believe that I am ready for the challenge. Also, I know that teaching kindergarten is more then that, but that is just how I envision my classroom too look like NOT what I was only going to teach.
What grade level(s)? What kind of classroom do you envision for yourself? Why should readers click on this link? Relevant image as well?
